I built and ran a Florida home service business — managing crews, routes, dispatch, and the full weight of day-to-day operations. I put the right systems in place to make it run without me, and eventually sold it. Now I help other Florida owners build that same foundation.

Sound Familiar?
These are the patterns that show up in almost every home service business at some point. Most of the time it's not a people problem — it's a systems problem.
Nothing moves without you. Decisions, approvals, callbacks — it all funnels through you, 12 hours a day.
Jobs get double-booked, crews miss details, customers call to confirm things that should already be handled.
Slow follow-ups, missed upsells, leaky pricing — every week your operations leak revenue you've already earned.
Buyers and investors need documented processes. Right now, the process is in your head — and that's a problem.
High turnover, unclear expectations, and zero onboarding systems mean you're training someone new every 90 days.
You've added tools — HouseCall Pro, Jobber, ServiceTitan — but the chaos followed you into the software.
About
I'm Ben Tyler. I built a Florida home service business from the ground up — managing crews, routes, dispatch, customer operations, and everything that comes with running a growing trade business in this state.
For a long time, the business ran through me. Every scheduling change, every escalated customer call, every crew issue landed on my desk. What changed things wasn't more software or more staff — it was getting the right processes in place so the operation could run predictably without me in every decision.
I eventually sold the business. The systems we had built were a core part of what made that possible. A buyer isn't paying for your personality or your work ethic — they're paying for documented processes and a business that runs without its owner at the center of everything.
Florida Ops Advisory works with Florida home service businesses in pool, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pest control, lawn, insulation, roofing, and related trades — typically $300K to $5M in annual revenue.
Client list stays small intentionally. When you're a client, you get me — not a junior associate running a checklist.
Services & Pricing
Every engagement is fixed-price, scoped in advance, and built around your specific business — not a generic playbook.
A full operational review of your business. I'll find where time, money, and momentum are leaking — and hand you a prioritized roadmap to fix it.
Built for owners thinking about selling in the next 1–3 years. I'll score your business across 10 dimensions buyers actually look at — and tell you exactly what to fix.
I work alongside you for 30 days — inside your operations — to implement the systems, fix the bottlenecks, and hand off a business that doesn't depend on you being present.
Process
No long proposals, no drawn-out onboarding. Here's what happens when you reach out.
We talk through where your business is, where you want it to go, and whether one of these engagements is the right fit. No pitch, no pressure.
Choose the package that matches your situation. You get a clear scope, a fixed price, and a start date — usually within a week.
I go deep on your operations — schedules, systems, team, tools. I don't just ask questions; I look at the actual data and workflows to find the real problems.
Every engagement ends with a specific, prioritized plan — not vague suggestions. You'll know exactly what to fix, in what order, and why.
My Business
Before Florida Ops Advisory existed, I was running Limitless Pools & Service out of Spring Hill, FL. This is what it looked like — and what it took to get out of my own way.
I was fielding every scheduling change, customer complaint, and crew question myself — including on weekends. Nothing ran without me. I couldn't take a day off without something falling apart.
I audited my own workflow, rebuilt how dispatch and route communication actually worked, documented the five most common customer scenarios, and created a decision tree so my team could handle day-to-day issues without calling me.
I stepped out of daily operations. The team managed routes and customer calls on their own. I had time to focus on growth — and eventually, to sell the business. The systems I built are what made the sale possible.

Coming Soon
I'm currently completing my Florida real estate license so I can hang my own broker's license and represent home service owners through the full sale — not just get them ready for it.
Most owners who want to sell end up managing three or four different people — an operations consultant, a broker, an attorney — and nobody's talking to each other. When I'm licensed, I'll be able to take you from "my operations are a mess" all the way through finding the right buyer and closing the deal.
If you're thinking about selling in the next 1–3 years, the worst thing you can do is wait. The time to get your operations in shape is now — not 60 days before you want to list.
